Moral March on Raleigh 2014

This morning’s march in Raleigh, organized by the NAACP with support from many other organizations and individuals that care about social justice ?was awesome. It was great to be among so many who want to move North Carolina forward, resisting the powerful forces that are taking it backwards.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this ?morning. See more at

Gathering at the start of the march — note the pink hats from Planned Parenthood…

NCWU was there!

My sentiments, exactly, in front of one of the three Jumbotrons — everyone could see and hear though some of us were blocks from the stage.

View after noon — still several blocks of people, and lots of pink hats!

  1. Way to go! So glad you were able to express my displeasure with the actions of our legislators and Governor. Wish I was physically able to march. I was in a meeting of the South East Region of the Women’s Forum of North Carolina in New Bern discussing the negative impact of their actions on education in North Carolina. We must work together to turn this state and country around.
